Building a global spiritual refuge

Help us us realise our dreams and ensure Plum Village France can continue beautifully into the future. These are our aspirations:

Rewild, restore, and rehydrate the land with new water management tree plantings

Establish a strong, nurturing base from which we can share our insights with a global audience online and in other ways

You can support us with a recurring or a one time donation, any help us greatly appreciated.

Support a hamlet close to your heart

Besides supporting our general campaign for Plum Village France you can also support a specific hamlet which is close to your heart.

We cannot change the world if we’re not able to change our way of thinking, our consciousness. Collective change in our way of thinking and seeing things is crucial

Thich Nhat Hanh

What is the role of monasteries in the 21st century?

Through his many years of activism, Thich Nhat Hanh realized that the most effective way to transform the roots of violence in the world is to create communities of peace.

Only through direct experience of deep practice in community can we shift the consciousness of individuals and, ultimately, of humanity. That’s why Plum Village is committed to being a refuge for reconciliation and compassion in a divided world. It’s also why we’re working to make the Dharma as accessible as possible through online courses, our Youtube Channel, podcast, the Plum Village App, books, and many in-person events.

With your help, Plum Village will continue to serve as a home for our monastic and lay residents, a training ground for aspirants, a refuge for retreatants, a laboratory for envisioning fresh ways to share the Dharma, and a place of pilgrimage because of Thay’s indelible mark on this special place.
