Songs / Coming and going in freedom

Sr Lực Nghiêm

I still come and go in freedom,
being and non-being are not a question.
Arrive home, my child, with relaxed steps,
not waning nor waxing, just one moon.
Do you know the wind is still here?
When distant rain reaches nearby clouds
drops of sunshine fall from on high
so the earth can see the always-clear sky.

From Thich Nhat Hanh’s poem “Đến đi thong dong”.
English translation by Sister True Virtue
