This beautiful new design of the Plum Village website went live on Wednesday 9th October 2019.
We hope you like it. We’ve taken the color style of Thay’s calligraphies (black ink on white paper) as well as distinctive Plum Village tones (the yellow of sunflowers & our sanghati robes; the brown of the monastic clothes and OI jackets; the green of the earth) to enrich the new simple design.
We’ve also added some great new content, including lots more information about Thay and his key teachings, about Plum Village practices (check out the great new audio tracks), and a whole zone for journalists.
We’d like to thank our wonderful Sangha team from the Wake Up Movement for their generosity: designer and technical miracle-worker Maarten Hunink (who started Not a Factory), and our slick copywriter Karim Manji… as well as the wholehearted monastic web team. Thank you all (especially Maarten) for losing sleep to do this!
Please let us know what you think in the comments below. And if you spot any 404 errors or broken links, please tell us as well.
This is just the beginning, we’re going to start Phase 2 of the redesign soon, which will include rollout in multiple languages, an even more beautiful homepage, easier registration experience for those coming on retreats and more.
Any ideas and suggestions welcome.
With gratitude,
The Plum Village Web Team
